Sedum spathulifolium – Broadleaf Stonecrop

An evergreen groundcover with spoon shaped, flat alternate leaves. Sage green turning red in the sun and in winter. Surfaces are glaucous.

Flowers bright yellow, 3/4″ wide on 4″-8″ stems. Blooms midsummer.

Found on rocky outcrops at low to mid elevations. Sun to part shade, good drainage.
Native to west coast states and B.C.
