Geum triflorum – Prarie Smoke, Old Man’s Whiskers

A low perennial staying evergreen in mild winter areas.

Basal leaves are compound with many unequal, toothed segments. The 6- 16″ tall stems have clusters of 3 nodding dusty pink flowers followed by plumed seeds.

Found from plains to open subalpine ridges.  Native to a wide area of the States.
