A large deciduous perennial to 6′ tall and 5′ wide.

Each 4-6″ leaf consists of 3 leaflets with sharply toothed margins. Tiny white flowers are in plumelike panicles up to 20″ long.
Found at low to mid elevations in shady roadsides and moist woods.
Likes compost, moisture and part to full shade. Male and female flowers are on separate plants.  Native from Alaska to California.
