A bushy evergreen shrub to 6′.
Hairy young twigs and leaves. Older branches have reddish brown bark that flakes.

White to pink bell shaped flowers in early spring.

Found in dry, well-drained sunny spots at lower elevations. Native to the west coast – BC to California.
